The Harvard House System—the First of Its Kind in America—Provides a
Seamless Transition from the Freshman Year
Leverett House House Masters Howard Georgi and his wife Ann Georgi.
- Housing is guaranteed for all four years, and virtually all students choose to live in one of the 12 residential Houses
- Each House has a Master, a senior faculty member, who with his or her spouse creates a family-like atmosphere. A staff of experienced resident advisers assist students in selecting courses, exploring future careers, and making the most of their time at Harvard.
- Houses range in size from 350 to 500 students, providing a “small-college” experience. Many of the friendships made in the Houses last a lifetime. Each has its own dining hall, common rooms, fitness facilities, extracurricular activities, and unique traditions.
